Bio:
Kim Huggens has been studying and reading Tarot for 19 years, and has been a professional reader for 10. She is the author of “Tarot 101: Mastering the Art of Reading the Cards” (Llewellyn 2010) and the co-creator along with Nic Phillips of “Sol Invictus: the God Tarot” (Schiffer, 2007) and the forthcoming “Pistis Sophia: the Goddess Tarot” (pistissophiatarot.com). She has recently finished working with artist Erik. C. Dunne, writing the companion book for the forthcoming “Tarot Illuminati” (Lo Scarabeo, 2013) and another deck with him is in the very early planning stages. Kim has given talks and workshops on Tarot all over the UK, including speaking at the Tarosophy Tarot Conferences, Mercian Gathering, and various Witchfests and Pagan Fed events. Kim currently enjoys applying Improv. Theatre techniques to Tarot, and prefers a dynamic, fun and pro-active approach to learning Tarot.
Kim is also a Production Editor in examination paper preparation for the International Baccalaureate Organization, and a freelance proofreader and editor. She is the editor of three anthologies from Avalonia Books, including “Memento Mori” (2012), “Vs.” (2010) and “From a Drop of Water” (2009).
When not doing all this, she enjoys LARPing, tabletop RPGs, researching Late Antique malefic-erotic magic and necromancy, making Day of the Dead inspired jewellery, and having conversations with her cat.
